No problems showed up in this sample of virgin 0w30. The viscosity was at the low end of the
30W range and right where we expected to see it. The 1 ppm iron isn't a problem and is actually a
common find in virgin oil (see universal averages). Boron, calcium, and magnesium are
detergent/dispersant additives, while molybdenum, phosphorus, and zinc are anti-wear additives. No
moisture or insolubles were found. The TBN read at 12.4, which is a strong reading and shows there is a
lot of active additive present. This is serviceable oil and should do well in your engine(s).

Is this an SM, GF4 oil? The B, Ca, P, Zn, are much higher than most recent oils I have seen. Is this an older bottle?

the race oils are NOT SJ/SL/SM

Looks a lot like MX4T. About the only difference is its 0w30 weight.
That oil is rated some where around SG,SH/CF.
A very good oil far better then the watered down tree huging SM oil most commonly for sale to day.

This is the old (original) version. The new version was not around in Feb' 2007. By the way, I have about 35 quarts of this old version that I snapped up at about $2/qt at a clearance price. It is thin enough to use in a 5W20 recommended application. Stout enough to use in a high performance or racing application.
