For the G80 Diffs in my two Sigs... Choosing between the three which is best? RP is 20$ a quart! It must be the best. And before anyone else says it, I know, Iknow

My friend "drank the purple Kool-Aid" and was happy with it in his 2009 diesel-powered 2500 Silverado. Keep in mind he had drained out Lucas gear oil that the tech had filled it with after installing the helical-geared limited slip diff one week before that. It had been chattering badly on exit ramps after a longer run on the interstate with the Lucas in there.

Between those three brands, I would buy it based on price and availability. They are all name brand, quality lubes.

For the price, I am not sure that you could go wrong with M1. Back in the early 90s, I ran M1 in my G80s and it worked very well.

I ran M1 and RP back-to-back. To be honest, I didn't notice any difference between the two. With a conventional oil in winter, my underpowered Bravada feels like it is pulling a trailer.

I had 2 Silverado's with the G80 and ran RP MaxGear 75W90 in the front and rear diff's and it did a great job. Have run it in other applications as well and it did great there too. Highly recommend it.

Also, Advance Auto Parts has RP MaxGear for $17.99 and you can use code P20 to save 20% making it just $14.39 a qt( + sales tax if you have that ).

RP is a great product but I have been running Valvoline in all my diffs as it meets the U.S Military Spec and I get the full synthetic for $8.99 a qrt
