Filter came off of my 2011 Chevrolet Silverado with the 5.3. Truck has a little over 130K miles on it. This filter was in service for 418 days and 1,526 miles. This is obviously a pre PG made Mobil 1 and I can't say I'm really happy with it. The upper endcap fell off as soon as I opened it up and there was also a bit of sloppy glue on both endcaps.

Off/Out-Mobil 1 M1-113A and 6 quarts of Mobil 1 5w-30 Full Synthetic
On/In-Ecogard x2222 and 6 quarts of SuperTech 5w-30 Advanced High Mileage

How much smaller is the 2222? I have a box of them. They’re noticeably smaller than the new 113A I bought the other day.
I'm not sure to be honest as I didn't look at them side by side. They both seem quite small considering the size of the engine. My vehicles don't get much mileage though so I'm not too concerned about it personally. If you were doing extended OCI's then perhaps the larger filter could be of some benefit.

Nice filter. Thank You for pics

It's the old style Mann+Hummel built filter. Mobil 1 filters are now through Highline Warren and have different design features, like no more louvers.

What's with all what looks like MicroGard Select filter boxes in the background?

Also need to make a correction to my original post. I mistakenly said that I used an Ecogard x2222 when it was actually a s2222.

Some MicroGard Selects, and some other PGI group filters use a P-gasket. Not associated with Toyota in any way however, as a P-gasket isn't exclusive to Toyota/Denso filters.
