This is my first C&P and I don't have a specialty tool so please excuse my messed up can (I used a hacksaw and tin snips). I ran this for 8140 miles on my 2001 Acura TL 3.2 with 151K miles. Oil was 5W-30 Mobil 1. I would have ran a longer OCI but Blackstone recommended 8K this time because of elevated lead level on my last analysis. I would say this M1-104 held up great and could have gone another 7K miles. Spacing looked good and ADBV was in great shape. I replaced the filter with a NAPA Gold 1334 and used 4.7 Quarts PP this time.

Pleats look better than other M1's I've seen

Thank you very much for the pics.

Now that's funny.

Got room for something bigger?

So you are claiming that your car using that oil filter physically would not run? That's a new one for me. What mechanism would prevent an engine from running? If the thing was blocked or otherwise preventing oil flow wouldn't it just go into bypass?

That is the same "tiny" filter I used last OCI and my insoluble were @ 0.2% according to Blackstone. I have sent the oil from this OCI out to be tested and will know by next week how this filter performed, I imagine it did about the same last time.

Looks great. Lots of pleats. Only two choices for Honda/Acura anyways. Tall and skinny or short and fat.

Run properly. As in It sounded like all the rods were going to vacation through the side of the block and the VVt was shaking itself apart.

Larger better flowing filter = MUCH lessened noise. The 2azfe appears to be very cold blooded.

There are limits to what is properly functional with pleated, mixed paper media filters.

The ADBV on the NISSAN Gohner mexico failed also. Permanently distorted OPEN after approx. 3k miles.
