Mobil 1 HM and MaxLife

Does anyone know what group of oil is in each of these Full Synthetic versions? Are they both group III or is it group IV/III or some other variation? Just been curious to know as I am using the MaxLife Full Synthetic and saw the Mobil 1 version and wondered what the difference is between them.

One external thing I noticed is that Maxlife Full Synthetic comes in 5w30 and Mobil 1 doesn't make theirs in a 5w30. why?

Not sure why, but M1 High Mileage comes in 10w40 but Maxlife Syn does not.

Too bad Amsoil doesn't make a PAO High Mileage oil.

All Mobil 1 contains PAO - apparently different amounts depending on formulation. Mobil's tech line said a Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w30 may be coming in 2008.

That is good news if it happens. I have been hoping yo use a 5w30 Full Synthetic High Mileage oil.

With a -65F pour point for the Mobil 1 High Mileage, I'd have no problem using it anywhere short of the arctic. I don't know what the CCS and MRV specs are for it, but they have to be good. The Mobil 1 High Mileage must use an even better base stock than the others.

I agree. I think they are full pao/ester.
