Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter much different from the standard Mobil 1 filter?

Hello folks, newbie member here, just joined yesterday but have been LIVING in the forums for the past week

and have learned a great deal. Much props to Bob and the whole BITOG community

Now that is out of the way, I am also very curious to see what that new Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter is all about myself. I've been using Mobil 1 oil and filters on my last 4 vehicles, but this is the first I've seen or heard about the new EP filter. Where I live the only place to get Mobil 1 filters is Autozone, and I didn't see the EP there last OCI (about 2 months ago)...or maybe I'm just slow lol. Will keep checking back to see what the verdict is..

I don't think the new EP filters are expected to hit AutoZone until around August.

Thanks. I was just there at AZ and they didn't have it. Hopefully if they arrive in August that will be close to the same time I do my next OCI....just wish AC Delco still made the Ultraguard Golds...

I've heard many a great things about those (while they lasted).
