There have been 1,000s of testimonials on multiple auto forums/vlogs from people who had some sort of oil consumption (from 1.5-5.0 quarts/5K miles); did the minimum 4 OCIs with Valvoline Restore and Protect and substantially reduced/eliminated oil consumption.

It's been 2+ years since Valvoline Restore and Protect came out. There was evidence of varnish removal, carbon removal, quieter engine operation, increased fuel economy, better engine response, etc almost immediately.

Now that Mobil 1 Advanced Clean has been out almost 6 months, I'm waiting to hear/read/see similar results for what "advanced clean" is supposed to do.
You forgot to include reduced fuel dilution.

Here's how I'm going to determine my choice.
Once I am satisfied that Valvoline Restore and Protect has done what it needs to do using my "Frankenblend" and cannot provide further improvement ( of which there have been many) I will POSSIBLY change to Mobil 1 Advanced Clean, IF they come out with a 0W-40 Euro oil certified for MB 229.5.
My reasoning will be that any certified 229.5 oil "might" be better than my personal frankenblend.
And that goes for Valvoline too, if they come out with an MB cert 229.5, I'm all in!

He's running a mix of Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 and a Euro oil. About 25% Valvoline Restore and Protect and the remainder Valvoline Euro, the MB 229.5 one (if there's more than one).
Well, if Valvoline Restore and Protect needs about 20K miles to free up stuck oil rings and overall does its job, then using only 25% of that oil will need approximately 20 x 4 = 80K miles to show any results.
Is the theory right?

He’s getting carbon out and happy with results. I don’t think he burns oil yet.

My 2018 Mercedes E300 only has 26,000 miles on it, and doesn't use oil. But, like tired said, some chunks of carbon have already been removed, and oil dilution is greatly reduced.
My plan, barring any detrimental effects, is just to run this blend for the life of the car, so miles won't really matter too much to me.
I can tell you that it runs significantly better now than before starting this experiment.

If it's working for you then it's working for you. (y) I'd have thought that 25% wouldn't do much, so happy to see your results.

I was dubious as well, but just had to do it. Pleasantly surprised so far. Blended with Valvoline Euro 5W-40 to try to avoid any additive clash, and nothing odd has shown up yet.
I mean, I'd love it if they made a Valvoline Restore and Protect in a 0 or 5W-40, 229.5 or 229.6, but since that doesn't seem like it's going to happen any time soon, this will be my choice.

I go to Meijer if possible and avoid Walmart at all costs. I can tell you that Mobil is still the oil that sells the most. Restore and protect just doesn’t move off the shelf. Everyday Joe couldn’t care less how much traction it gets on BITOG.

What did you run before this experiment?
I bought he car off lease @2 yrs, so the original owner likely took it to the dealership for service. That would probably have been Mercedes (Mobil1) 0W-40. Annual oil changes after that with Ravenol FDS (5w-30 MB229.6) the car didn't like that, so moved to Ravenol VST 5W-40 for about 3 annual changes until their prices went through the roof.
There were about 3 trips to Pittsburgh during my ownership, so not totally short tripped, but mostly.
The last change before this experiment was Castrol Euro 5W-40, which also made a run to Pgh.
So, cheap oil was never used in this car.

I'm wondering the same thing if there were "chunks of carbon' in the filter at only 26K miles.
There are some pictures somewhere of the filter media showing the "chunks" of carbon. Those pics are probably on the Valvoline thread, and one very early picture while using Ravenol.
The Ravenol filter media was perfectly clean after 1 year of use, so I thought I was doing pretty good.

Keep in mind, "chunks" are my definition, most other people would probably call them specks.
