I've been meaning to put this UOA on for some time now. Thought others may appreciate the info for a longer OCI. My daily commute consists of a 100 mile roundtrip or an estimated 25,500 miles annually.

Since this UOA, I've been running with PP for 10K with similar results. I'll try to post that UOA as well. I've been using PP pretty religious since but have also acquired some Q from Menards as well as the SynPower BOGO to add to my stash.

IIRC, the silicon was a bit higher with the PP UOA but I'm also using a K&N drop in filter.

5000 mile OFIs have been conducted with the use of either the Napa Gold and/or Purolator PureOne filters .

EDIT: Here is the 5K UOA taken thereafter of the PP. Interesting comments form Blackstone.

I'm pretty much going where the savings are and with Blackstone's comments, think I'll be okay. I have a little of everything in my stash (M1, PP, Q, SynPower and Syntec). Over the past year I have been using PP (rebates or BOGOs) but with recent winter OFIs of 5K with my 10K fills (btw...I have 2 300Ms and we both have lengthy commutes) I've been refreshing fills with Syntec 0W/30. Hopefully better for the colder winter conditons.

Wow, looks like the M1 EP really is made for extended drains and PP is good for ~10,000 miles.

Are you saying the Si dropped because of the PP? If so please explain. Unless a gasket was recently replaced, then Si is outside dirt getting into the engine and oil and I do not see how any oil could help there.
