I switched to Mobil 1 0W-40 in my '01 Camry, with the 5S-FE 2.2L L4 and 50,000 km ((31,250 miles) on the clock, when it was purchased in late February this year. I used a WIX 51394 when I changed the oil and replaced it with a Thai Denso filter in September, when the oil and filter had 7,472 km (4,670 miles) on it.
Over the course of 8 years, this vehicle only had 31,250 miles put on it and I only put 11,500 km (7,188 miles) on it since the oil change. My preferred OCI is 16,000 km (10,000 miles) and it takes me about a year and a half to hit that mileage with this vehicle, which is not a daily driver. Would there be any harm in 10,000 mile/18 month OCIs with Mobil 1 0W-40?
Thanks in advance!
