so how much MMO should I put in my 2004 taurus fuel tank I think it has an 18gal. tank and how often should I do this?
thanx again
sorry for so many questions but I'm trying to learn!

atsoca, Your questions will be answered if you read the back of the bottle.

It states that for best results use 4oz per 10 gals of fuel.

In the crankcase it says to replace 1qt of oil in a 5qt, change. Also use the search site here, there is lots to read on MMO.

MMO looks good in fuel. But I don't trust it in my oil.

RX and Synpower is all that goes in my crankcase...that and oil.

aprox 4 oz per 10 gal slowly over the peroid of many tanks washed a lot of hard carbon (not all) and kept anymore from building on a twostroke sled motor I ran. The oil I was using (cat extreme) was notorius for running dirty and gumming things up. The mmo helped.

I'm not sure I'd use much more than 4oz:10gal on a cat o2 sensored car? Their statement of it not harming such eqpt assumes proper usage I'd guess.

That said my suburu has had a frequentdiet of used premix fuel dumped into it. Just did an exhaust on it and had the back of the cat cut open to weld pipe on. It looked great at 125K + miles, premix oil and all, LOL! Still on the origina o2sensor also. Would've thought all the oil may ahve corked thing up a bit?

I'd be a bit wary in oil, too - but I suppose in winter as the jug says or as a flush it would be OK.

I used it stronger than recommended in fuel. We'll see if things change after some more miles.

Marvel sells MMO in 12oz bottles and labels it "gas treatment". Depending on the size of your tank, that could be almost 1/2 to 1 ounce every gallon.

I've been known to throw a pint in with a full tank of gas. No problems to report. O2 sensors/cats working perfectly. The other pint ends up in the oil as topoff.
I've added an entire quart to a tank of gas to prove that it wouldn't destroy my plugs/engine/......and shut that "bet loser" up!

Has anyone seen "Marvel oil stabilizer" oil honey stuff?

I'm conserned about puting any oil through my cats unless it's a low ash additive. I would just run a good oil and maybe do an Auto Rx if your conerned about ring packs or any varnish.

I use MMO in my gas Religiously and have never
had a fuel injector spark plug cat or any other
problem. I have had the heads off one of my engines that I used it in and you wouldn't believe how clean it keeps everything. I use in all my cards the lawn mowers boat and 4-stroke
personal watercraft.. GOD'S NECTAR

BUBBA: Are we taking about vehicles with 125,000 + miles using MMO in the gas or low millage vehicles? I've never added MMO to my gas and never had to take an engine down before I sold them with 127,000 to 194,000 miles using Mobil 1 and one Arx at~ 85,000 miles. Ed

I just started adding to my cars' fuel in the recommended on bottle dosage. Been using in Mower fuel for yrs. I dont care if its snake oil(but I'm sure its not) I love the smell. Gary Allens pics and a little research convinced me of it worth as a fuel additive.

You guys that are using MMO in oil or fuel could you post some oil analysis results here ?

It never showed lower wear, lowered insolubles, nitration, or oxidation in our testing. I have used it as a cleaner for years too.

I no longer use it since I discovered products like Auto-RX and Lubecontrol.

It was a fairly low flash solvent in a oil base last I knew. Its not snake oil but what it is escapes me at any given time. Gary kind of confirms that in his searches of MSDS. Remember that MSDS does not reveal total chemistry and what is left out there is significant.

If you have good results with the product and you have confirmed that emperically by all means use it.

Gary ATF is a no no in a burning turning engine and we will disagree Brother !!

After nearly 30 years of experience with stuff like this I do suggest followup oil analysis whatever you decide.

How do y'all think MMO would work as an aftershave lotion? I'm kinda tired of GC and need a change.

As I stated, somewhere, I wouldn't put it in my oil.

Well, good to know you won't put it in YOUR oil. I remember you telling me to put in my oil to thin out the DELO 400. Thanks, amigo!
