I have a 95 Z28 with the 4 speed 4L60E transmission. I'm changing from the stock transmission pan to a deep mount transmission pan and I would like to replace the fluid in the pan with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Problem is that their still will be fluid retained in the torque converter so I was wondering would mixing these two fluids cause a problem? I'm guessing it would like making a snyblend transmission fluid correct?

No problem. Go for it.

If the new pan is aluminum, I hope that it has a magnetic drainplug. Otherwise you'll need to glue a magnet inside of it or use a magnefine-type ATF filter.

If not aluminum, clean/reuse the ATF pan magnets if so equipped. Electronic solenoids can attract iron wear in the transmission and cause issues.

The mixing won't be a problem, but there is a DIY way to exchange all the fluid, including the torque converter. It's been written up before. It takes a little more effort but it gets nearly all the fluid changed.
