I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Galant with a 4 cyl engine and auto trans. I am going to change the transmission fluid. I have a case of Honda Z1. Is it OK to use Z1 in the Galant? Is it OK to use AmsOil ATF in the Galant? If the answer is no, can someone please explain what the chemical differences are that make this substitute not possible. Thanks.

no the z1 ; ok to the amsoil atf.
Otherwise, ATF +4 is the only way to go.
Z1 is pretty much the old Dexron II, it's for honda transmissions only nowadays.

It isn't going to work in a Mitsubishi, but ATF+4 is.
