minimum run time to keep the battery charged

There is a small circuit board available as an aftermarket add on to trick F150 trucks to charge at a slightly higher voltage when an AGM battery is used.
Isn't that something that you can do with Forscan and no extra circuit board? Or is that only an option when the vehicle in question sometimes came with an AGM battery?
 
I’m late to the thread but I used these VW window chargers 25 years ago. VW use to put them in all there cars from the factory back in the MK4 days. I just asked my dealer for one when I bought the car. It plugs into the 12V outlet.

Back the day 12V lighter plugs were always live.

Today anyone trying to connect through an plug in the cabin will get instant no joy as they are all gated to the accessory / ignition switch so you up up fishing wires through the firewall making 12V solar work.

Sometimes thats a cinch, other times a royal pain.
