I have heard that if you have been running synthetic oil in diffs and transmissions and then switch to mineral oil it can cause catastrophic results. can anybody verify or dis-prove this? and if true does the same apply to engine oil? Ihave read all the posts about switching from mineral to synthetic oil and suggests increased cleaning property of synthetics contaminate oil quickly but what about the other way around?
