Mildew smell after conditioning leather seats...

The most I ever did was once a year, usually once every other year. I use Lexol cleaner and conditional. I still have few bottles Lexol after run out I will try Leatherique.

I've never treated the leather seats in my Jetta, not in ten years. Is my northern climate why they look fine to me?

Car will go to the junkyard before the seats give me grief, it seems.

Yeah, but yours is a diesel. All that oily fuel and sooty exhaust fumes keep them supple.

Biggest problem here is the sun and heat. Tinted windows are a requirement here or your interior will get ruined.

Same here. You'd be surprised what 5k less ft does for sunlight.

I used Leather Honey from Amazon in my former Cadillac Deville and sofa recliner. You can use it for any type and color of leather. Clean the surface first then apply the conditioner. Crack the windows open to let air ventilate in the car for a few hours.

Agreed, probably the sunlight more than anything. The UV will destroy the leather well before the heat does.
