MIG welding cart

I just got a Lincoln 180C MIG welder and it weighs 80 lbs. I have a HF 3 tier MIG welding cart and it holds 100 lbs. My feeling is the cart would be top heavy heavy and between the welder and gas bottle would be over 100 lbs. I see some welding carts are only 2 tiers. So it should not be top heavy. Northern has a welding cabinet that looks nice but is about $170. A lot for a cart.

Well you have a welder, why not design or copy a design of a cart and fab one up?.,,

The cost would be more than you can buy one for.

Could you just shorten the one you have and eliminate the middle shelf?

Maybe, but I am also concerned about the weight capacity.

I just bought (this morning) a cart for my mig welder. Just needed to allow me to roll it around in the garage.

Its not anything fancy, but it was cheap and serves my purpose. The mig just fits on it, and although the argon bottle hangs over the edge a little, the bottle is secured on a platform built on the end of the mig.
