Just bought this card
https://www.staples.ca/products/296...tHNqfZ3yXJQDo_EsPgIuapVWdsHYoZbMaAhnMEALw_wcB

I will be inserting this into a Eufy floodlight camera E30. The camera will not store recordings without a memory card. The camera is monitored through the Eufy app on a iPhone.

What gave me pause was the statement on the back of the packaging for the card - it states WORKS WITH ANDROID. Before I open the package, I just want to confirm that the card will not have issues with iOS on the iPhone.

you dont need to worry about android or iphone.

you need it to work with eufy E30.

You arent plugging it into your iphone.

These are the requirements for E30 cam

from a brief look the kingston you linked is uhs-1 and class-10 so it should work.

Thanks.
Next question. Does it help at all if I turn off the 120V power to the cam before inserting the card? Or it makes absolutely no difference?

follow eufy instructions, but without knowing
I would do it with power off.

These push in until it clicks..
to remove you push it again and it should pop out.

Yup. you got it.
Eufy works with both types of phones.
Yeah, as Rand said, it does not hurt to turn off the power. I never much thought about it because I installed the cards before I powered the Cameras from what I remember, It may not matter ... but ... Ive installed so many I cant say that was true for everything but most likely.

Keep in mind the Eufy E30's come in three completely different versions. Indoor Cam, Outdoor Cam and Spotlight Camera
I have two outdoor camera's at the cost I am very impressed with the Outdoor E30s.

My daughter in law purchased a whole bunch of the S340s outdoor and are thrilled with them on their new home. That is a step up from the E30s Both are solar models, though I think you can power them. On their last home I installed 5 powered outdoor of another brand/

Im sure you are going to be thrilled with that E30 spotlight camera, it will give you full color at night when the lights are triggered. Nice crisp video and the app works pretty great once you are used to all the options to view video.

Mine is the outdoor floodlight camera

Suggestion... order a MicroSD card designed for endurance. Most typical MicroSD cards are not designed for this and will fail sooner than later. Many brands make cards specifically for use in security cameras and dash cams that are designed for long term constant writes. The flash chip inside the card will wear out and fail eventually, but by buying the correct kind, it'll last years and years, not months.

This is the one I bought

Will this last? If not, any recommendations?
That is a perfect choice. They are all good but you happen to have selected a good name brand at a great sale price. I had 5 outdoor cameras on the last house, all using Walmart brand memory chips. Oon. no doubt made by one of ten major manufacturers in the world.
The chips you ordered exceed the capability of the camera. No problem, it's a chip, the camera will break down first if anything.

Not sure where you are going with those comments
The camera doesn't wear out but the SD card will eventually.
might be 1 year or 10 who knows.
Depends on if its setup to record incidents(motion activated etc) or record all the time huge difference in the amount written to the sd card.

The card chosen meets the requirements of the camera to perform as expected.

64GB is ok but 128GB would likely have twice the endurance for writes(in GB)

Agreed, Overall it should be fine
