They do this every year in San Juan De La Vega, Mexico. They tape explosives on the end of a sledge hammer, then swing it on a hard surface to detonate it. What could possibly go wrong?

No OSHA, no safety glasses, no helmets, and most likely, no hearing protection. Even young children get in on the action, by helping to tape the explosives on the end of the hammers. (0:27). Not to worry, because they have several ambulances standing by. ;) I had to put this into the humor section, simply because there is no other place for it! :ROFLMAO:

I think they're still looking for the hammer... (1:28 in the lower video).

Almost as good as anvil blasting. Years ago, I was watching Sweet Home Alabama with my daughter, who was an adult by then. There was a loud bang and an anvil fell onto the lawn. I said, "Oh, they are doing anvil blasting." My daughter turned to me in disbelief and asked, "You've heard of this before?" Actually, I knew about it because I had read about it in the Wall Street Journal a couple of years before. I have not tried it. I only have one anvil and it takes two.

No one left to ask! Not sure why, but this song and Marty Robbins "El Paso" equivalent came to mind

Dunno about you but I like to spend some time in Mozambique.
These Mexicans are insane.
How'd anyone like to fight somebody that fearless?

It's interesting what constitutes entertainment in other countries. I know for a fact this would likely be not allowed in the USA anywhere except maybe rural Alaska.

I would like to know where they get the explosives from? Even if they're making it themselves, they still need to buy all the ingredients in very large quantities.
