MC15w40 or Delo 15w40???

I've always used the MC 15w40 in my 2002 F350/7.3 diesel with no issues/complaints. I have read on other websites that the Delo 15w40 is supposed to be a great oil. Is there anyone that can give me the scoop. My guess is that they are both good choices, but the Delo is easier to find in the jug sizes.

The Delo is a great oil and has a significant amount of the
anti-wear additive liquid moly. Can't go wrong.

Both are very good oils.
Delo is a grade or two above the MC.

Either oil if changed every 5K to 6K miles will give your PSD years of protection.

If you add a single by-pass filtration system, you can run delo into the 10K mile range. I have a next door neighbor who is doing it now, with 5K mile UOA with blackstone.

I think now he is pushing 12K mile OCI.

I have a case of Delo 5w40 that I just purchased. It states it is the low wear formula. Also CI4plus rated. I would imagine it has just as much Moly in it. I am doing a used oil analysis through blackstone with the Delo 15w40 right now. One more change of regular Delo, the it is on to the 5w40. I will post a comparison of my results between the two.

Delo 400 is an excellent oil and is CI-4 rated, I have also used Delvac-I and I rate both excellent, except that you pay a far less price for Delo400, it has done quite well in extreme heat and cold condition, I would suspect that Delvac-I would outperform Delo 400 under extremely cold conditions so the choice is yours, if using your vechile in regular conditions, Delo 400 would be fine and easy to your pocket.
