MC or PYB?

Honestly whatever oil you can find cheaper. According to Pennzoil 5W20 oil is a blend anyway.

Ahhhh, a very popular question. First, IMO with a 3k OCI, you could use any SM rated oil and be just fine.

Toss up between MC blend and PYB, can't go wrong with either. That said, in FoMoCo product, MC syn blend and an MC filter is a great combo.

Using an FL-820s filter is more important than the oil. Ether is perfect oil and will give awsome wear numbers.

Now if the fl820s is not avail, a wix 51372 is the only other sub.

Either will go a LOT longer than 3k in your truck.

Try a 4k or (gasp!) 5k OCI and see how that goes. Going 33-66% longer each OCI will save quite a few $$ in oil and filter costs over the life of the truck (which will be long). A UOA would pay for its self if you did a 5k OCI and it proves its good to go!

Both are EXCELLENT OILS!

Take care, bill
