Good, we are getting somewhere. Get the codes re-read. While I generally agree that if it's not blinking leave it alone, it's a long trip back and you'll want some peace of mind. So go to another store, or even the same one, get the codes read, have her verify with her eyes the codes that are being listed by the machine, and go from there.
I agree you don't want an ignition cassette to fail completely on the trip back. Low likelihood perhaps but not the thing to do.
You can send her back via my house, I'm very close to the NJ Turnpike, to have a look and scan if it makes you feel better. I'm reasonably able to help between DC and NYC on the I-95...
