Good evening forum,

here is the oil filter from the wife's Opel Vectra SAAB 900 2.5 V6.

The engine is the 2.5 litre-Variant of the GM 54° V6, engine code is B258. In the Opel and Vauxhall world, the same engine is known as C25XE.

Oil was Shell Helix HX-7 5w-40 (UOA shall follow); OCI was 12608km, which would be about 7835 miles.

The filter does have neither ADBV nor a bypass valve. It does not really need an ADBV, as it sits very low, right next to the oil pan. The Bypass valve should be in the engine block with these GM-V6, I suppose?

Is there a gasket sealing the baseplate to the filter element, or is it metal to metal?
