Mann w/ Foam Pre-Filter

There are 2 options for my Cayenne S. Standard Mann filter, and then one with a Foam pre-filter. It is literally a piece of black foam glued to the filter. Any thoughts? It is listed as helping in high dust environments. Not sure if this really is a benefit or too much of a restriction.

Benefit. It will help keep the actual paper part of the filter cleaner. go for the one with the pre filter.

The one with the foam is the heavy-duty version... I guess it's better for the more dusty environments. My last Mann air filter was like that... when I replaced it recently, I just put a regular Mann in there (without the foam) since that's all I had. I guess I'd have to do a UOA to compare if the filtration is any better/worse with the new filter.

Thanks. I ordered them w/pre-filter. Worth the extra 10% over the standard filter it sounds like.
