Mann filter missing the seal.

Mann filters come to us 4 shrink-wrapped together. I assume that is done at the factory in Germany.

I needed one today for an Audi. Grabbed the 4,cut off the shrink wrap,took one to my bay. Opened the box and found no seal. The boxes come glued shut too.

Compared to the next one I opened.

At least you had another to use that was set to go, keep us posted as to what your supplier does for you?

Mann has been getting cheap lately

You might even be better off with a Champ, or perhaps a Chinese filter that's wrapped at the end (and even leak tested too)

Without knowing when the "shrink wrap" process of the four filters together happened, possible it happened at the "factory". Having not seen lots of four shrink wrapped together before, wonder when/where the shrink-wrapping process occurs. "If" it did happen at the factory guess I'd say, "stuff happens" even to the best of them. As far as I've seen, no quality drop off in Euro made Mann made filters. I'd think should be able to get a replacement from the seller/supplier. If not, should find a new vendor, imo.
