He doesn't look like a fun guy, does he?

He was very choosy picking dry grass. Can't be an easy task, wearing mittens!
Look at his crossed toes! BWAHAHAHAHA!

No. I spent about 9 yrs in Germany and studied there, too, so I'm fluent enough :)
...so Mori really doesn't need to help me in what I type here.

that said, Mori IS a native speaker of German, and what you typed there in German was totally incomprehensible to me, so I thought Mori might be able to shed some light on it. :)
now it occurs to me you might have used an online translator of some sort?? they often do funny translations :)

The birdie didn't call Oilgal anything.

"Ach du Scheiße" (Oh sh*t) is a common idiomatic German expression that denotes surprise. The "du," which literally means "you" is used to personify the situation/event. The same goes for the expressions "Ach du lieber Himmel" (Good heavens!) and "Ach du dickes Ei" (literally, "Augh, you fat egg!). All these expressions convey the same, which is surprise, and either one may be used.

Oilgal, I can smell Babblefish from three miles away against the wind!

So are you going to answer my question?

which question?
I already said "no" to "is Mori helping, etc"

what other question was there? if it's the one in German, I can't understand it, because it seems all wrong somehow...(the bablefish did a carpy job)

Oilgal used Babblefish to translate, "Did you call me a sh*t?" into nonsensical German. Basic translation programs cannot handle idioms or even syntax well. Out of a 100 simple sentences, 98 or so will end up butchered by the translation program.

Ich muß ein Idiot sein, weil ich keine Idee habe, über was Sie sprechen.

I never tried babelfish, thanks for the tip! it's a lot easier to use than the 'real' babelfish would have/will be to use.

Wow. Thanks for the information. I had no idea of the structure of German, and I may even have a teeny tiny bit now.

I will watch that bablefish. Great way to start a war. Have your diplomatic staff use bablefish. Yeah?

I'm gonna throw that fishy back.

If you want to see how poorly translation programs work, go to a foreign language website, copy a few sentences, then use an online translation program and see how the English translation turns out.

Wenn Sie sehen wollen, wie schlecht Übersetzungsprogramm-Arbeit, zu einer Fremdsprache-Website gehen Sie, kopieren Sie einige Sätze, dann verwenden Sie ein On-Line-Übersetzungsprogramm und sehen Sie, wie sich die englische Übersetzung herausstellt.
