Technically > and @ are not the same from a purely mathematical viewpoint, BUT in the discussion of multi-pass filter efficiency and beta ratio measurements over a range of different particles sizes, they are for all practical purposes equivalent as the particle size approaches 20 microns, as I've tried to convey multiple times with examples.
