just to give some background it's a new pushrod 5.0 that i put together and is in my 92 F150.. it has 1800 miles on it now. remanned shortblock .030 over with Flat Tops, Trick Flow Track Heat 170/58cc heads and a Comp Cam XE-264HR-14 in it, with 1.72 Roller Rockers. Very Healthy Engine..

so the oil i chose to go with is.

Valvoline 5w30 Synpower... and motorcraft FL-1A filter (only filter i'll ever run on a Ford)

think it's gonna be a good combo and will probably quiet down the entire valve train.. Typical roller rocker noise.

done alot of reading and it's some good stuff... gonna be going 5-7k mile OCI's

bought it all at o'reilly's... 37.24 was my total after tax...

I never gave much thought to synpower until I did some poking around here the last few months. My napa had it for $5.19/qt a few months ago, so keep an eye out for sales in the rebate/sale forums. I'd run it at that price for sure...

Too bad...because WM had an $8 off coupon for purchase of 2 jugs. I got 2 for $38

i aint worried about it.. i try my [censored] to stay away from Walmart.. if that means spending a couple dollars more.. so be it.. unless it's astronomically higher..
