Exploder/FirestoneThey were on a roll back in the Explorer/Firestone days too.
Different kind of roll though I guess.

Needs some shark teeth on that front panel. Not my type of vehicle, but if I was getting one, it wouldn't be trimmed like any of the ones I've seen in person. I just don't do gray, and I don't do dark wheels, so this particular Mach E couldn't have been less appealing to me when I saw it sitting on the showroom a few weeks ago. This design needs support from wheels and paint. Get them wrong, and it looks like an old POS. Just an opinion. If I had to get one, it would be a Premium. Not digging the wheels they're putting on the GT.

0-60 in 3.5 seconds.
It only gives you full power for the first 5 seconds of a launch. How does it do this and then run 12.7@101, does it just hit a wall at 80 or something? That's like high 13's/low 14's trap speed, yet the 0-60 is verified well into the 3's...
Why? Battery cooling? It only gives you full power for the first 5 seconds of a launch.
Exactly. It gives full power for about 5 seconds then it ramps back the battery power to limit heating. It's done for long-term battery life in order for Ford to guarantee 70-plus percent battery life for 8 years. Why? Battery cooling?
It gets old after 5 seconds, lol! No ty. Ford needs to fix it.Exactly. It gives full power for about 5 seconds then it ramps back the battery power to limit heating. It's done for long-term battery life in order for Ford to guarantee 70-plus percent battery life for 8 years.
The pull these cars have never gets old. I have little use for 0 to 60 runs, but for messing with Porsches and stuff, the immeadiate torque is a blast. Earlier wifey and I were up in Menlo getting back on to interstate 280. A gorgeous 911 GTS zoomed in front and she said, "Don't you dare!" So I gave it throttle... All in fun. Safety first!
You wanna go fast, buy the fast one. Model Y Performance is sub 12 second quarter mile time.It gets old after 5 seconds, lol! No ty. Ford needs to fix it.
There is no fast mmach e, just quick. You wanna go fast, buy the fast one.
Agreed, this is very disappointing. It gets old after 5 seconds, lol! No ty. Ford needs to fix it.
That’s a shame. But it is a CUV and not the sports car its name would suggest. Once again, Tesla remains well ahead of the competition. Tesla has the best battery setup around. It only gives you full power for the first 5 seconds of a launch.
I parked next to one today. It really does look better in person than photos. I couldn’t see inside because the windows were tinted illegally dark.Needs some shark teeth on that front panel.
