If you think businesses make decisions based on anything other than availability and cost you've got another think coming. Ask Ford about those focus transmissions from earlier this decade.

No one said it wasn't "performing." It meets specs, more or less. Lots of hullabaloo between Mobil delvac and Shell Rotella over that as I recall.

Anyway, It was said that there are better options for similar or lower price. If you'd like to continue to rely on personal attacks please continue - but your own statements show a lack of understanding about basic business. Continually touting shell as an industry leader is literally not helping your argument, no one has said otherwise, nor was that ever in question.

Supertech HD is a better value imho

I've run both satisfactorily to 10k ocis in both diesel and gasoline applications including non-roller hot rods. Supertech is cheaper though not much.

Rotella is available everywhere though and it carries a JASO cert iirc

It's not only availability and cost. People who actually owns
business don't caree about cost if the product doesn't work.

Is it? says who? Who says Rotella is the best selling HDEO in the world - or even the USA for that matter?

Weird thread anyway. Delo and Delvac are actually in the Rotella world … TDT is pickup oil.

As for your mention of CAT … Mobil has put over a billion gallons of HDEO in CAT drums, just saw some today next to Mobil HDEO and Mobil 1 drums running multimillion dollar equipment, and some PSD's, no Focus.
