Wanted to try 5W50 and found this - not an earth-shattering deal like Walmart "errors" or the Pennzoil $25 rebate but the price seems to be decent as the demand is not high for these. You can get an additional $5 off by signing up on their rewards program (or an existing user, you can use a different email to sign up).

Got 8 qts and even got free shipping ($35+ for free shipping).

Nice. I have stocked up on this too but not used it yet. Do you have any experiences with this oil?

I'll be running it in an LS430, RX330 and maybe an s2000

No...been using xW40. As the car is reaching 20 years old, thought I would try 5W50..

Is this different than the 5w50 supercar Mobil has had around for a long time?

Yes, very different. I have VOA's of both oils on this site. Supercar has lower detergents but higher anti-wear additives, and is meant more as a performance oil, not a long drain oil. However FS-X2 still has lots of zinc and is a good oil.

I have used both oils in my GT500 Mustang, and have been on a race track with both oils. No problems with either.
