Lucid Air Sets New Record 747 Miles on a Single Charge

Gorgeous car inside and out. I thought it would be my next vehicle, but my wife will not be happy with the low ride height. All these headlines are essentially clickbait. Many EVs can exceed mileage ratings when driven at low average speeds. But why bother? The fuel is so cheap I drove mine like I stole it everywhere.

I see plenty of these and honestly I do not like how they look.

That said, they put a lot of engineering into them… great packaging and efficiency for a heavy, fast vehicle, so I can appreciate that.

The gravity is the closest SUV to ICE.

Its got the most highway range, and the fastest charging available on every network

It's an awesome /Luxe ride.

Even though I can afford it, buying a 120K car would never pass the grandpa test.
(If I couldn't " sell" to to Grandpa chances are its not a good deal)
And spending that money on a depreciating liability just feels wrong.

But there is a # I can sign off on. If they get the thing to the 80's Im a buyer.

Even though grandpas long gone I can sell that to him.

I’ve seen one while I was in the Bay Area. I’m not denying it’s an impressive machine, but for $250k it shouldn’t mimic a now-defunct, ~$25k Chrysler IMO.

Make it like a Taycan, or angular and creased like a Ferrari/Lambo. Something that stirs the soul enough to match the car’s performance.

I’d love to toss the Air’s drivetrain in a G8 GXP or Chevy SS… then we’d agree on a majority of points! 👍🏻
I understand your thought process, but I just don't see the similarities and I've been around both pretty frequently.

I love the Lucid. Price is beyond my means for the model I'd want unfortunately.

They did say it was an Air. The SUV is the Gravity. Not sure why it mentions SUV here. Weird.
For the same reason, ABC News called Elon Musk the owner of Tesla

Question everything you read, here or see nowadays

Looks like kissing cousins to a Chrysler 200 TBH…
Other then also being a 4dr sedan, they look nothing alike imho.

I'd love to get a Lucid, preferably one of the fastest ones ;) They look sweet the red. There is a few Lucids around here, still not had a chance to drive one yet though :/ lol...

Earlier today Lucid reached out to me about a Gravity order transferred to my area. When I saw the sticker was 120k I almost laughed. Knowing what I know about their depreciation...I make good money, but not enough to light it on fire. We just turned in our I-Pace. Not in any rush to replace it during this period of mourning.

The depreciation on EVs is crazy, no doubt. I knew that going in when we bought the '18 Moel 3 Mid Range. Well, maybe not as bad as it was gonna be... Ha!

I hope you are right. I've been waiting for all these highly depreciated EVs to hit the used market for cheap....still waiting...even old leafs with clapped out batteries go for more than I think a car of their age and miles should go for.
