What is the consensus on this stuff? It's thick and sticky and seems to work fine in auto's. Has anyone tried it in manuals?

I'm not bashin Lucas, because their gas additive [UCL - upper cylinder lubricant] is good.
But their oil additives and gear oils are questionable.

I used it in my trans along with Redline MTL...it did make a difference in shifting between straight MTL and MTL with Lucas.

I have since quit using it because I have found a mix of MTL and MT-90 seems to do the same thing...and I was a little leery of using Lucas products...

I believe he's talking their 16-ounce bottle of stop-leak/stop-slip...there is a blurb on the bottle about using in manual transmissions.

I've used it in both an auto and a manual...didn't see any difference. In the manual, I figured out that it likes a slightly thicker oil, and that's what the lucas was doing (the MT-90 does it now)

I felt it simply thickened the synchromesh up that I was using, which my trans liked...the stuff looks like red snot in a bottle.

I found that mixing a little MT-90 in with my MTL did the same thing...and at least I stay within the same manufacture of oil..
