lucas tranny additive???

I married into the ownership of a 2000 chevy malibu. The car has about 79k on it and has been maintaned pretty well and not abused. The transmission has had some very slight slippage. I mean maybe once every 2 months I have felt it slip when first started or hot. Not really any difference in one or the other. I was going to have it flushed but after reading up on it most everyone suggested just to drop the pan and replace filter and refill due to not wanting to push any deposits into valve body using the flush method. So this is what I have done. I did use about 8-10 ounces of lucas transmission additive at this time to almost 8qts of dexron 3. I used a very small amount of the additive because of some of the things I have read about additives. Most the stuff I read really are in response to motor oil and gear oil additives though. With such a low amount of lucas is this something I need to be concerned with? The car does seem to be shifting much smoother with no signs of slippage. Although it has only been a week and 150 miles of driving since I have done this. What do yall think?

Don't worry about the Lucas.
Don't worry about doing a flush.
Just don't use any solvent flush products that some shops will use prior to the ATF exchange.

If everything is working well, consider another fluid change or flush to help remove any ATF left in the transmission(TC) that doesn't remove with a pan drop.

I'd clean the transmission with Auto-Rx, then do a complete flush with a top quality ATF. I wouldn't add any additives after this.
