My advice to you is to contact Lucas with your questions and concerns about their product and your engine .
 
Your talking a spun bearing, a spun bearing rod or main is either the top or bottom bearing half spinning around on top of or under the other half. In thirty years wrenching along with working for a former Crewchief from the Indy 500 I have never seen a spun bearing go more than a few miles. Cam bearings are a different story. So if you haven't blown it by now I tend to think you have a different problem.

The latest S54 engine has a problem with the crank bearings being out of tolerance in the Oct '01 - Feb '02 builds. So i don't think he is claiming to have a bearing failure, but saying he MAY get a bearing failure.
