Lucas oil advice

Does anyone know if the Lucas oil (thick stuff) for restoring damaged / worn engines would be a good idea? They say put a quart of Lucas, and the rest regular oil. I have two cars: toyota matrix with 100K, and chrysler town & country @ 120K, both conventional oil.

Secondly, i was told NOT to switch to synthetic if you've got over 50K of conventional. Is this so?

Stay away from lucas and you can use syn anytime you want. If you want thick oil, buy it that way.

Totally agree...stay away from Lucas. Next That synthetic thing in High mileage engines is a myth, use any High Mileage oil you like (Maxlife is great) but there are a lot of High Mileage syns that are great too. I like Mobil 1 High Mileage, but to each his own.

5w30 in the Matrix and it will run fine for many more miles. You can use M1 High Mileage that might help the seals.

I just starting using syn oil in my Celica which has been feed conventional oil its whole life up to 253k miles.
