I used Ideal No-Alox on battery terminals before. It seems to do the job. I had it on hand for some aluminum wiring I installed.

I picked this stuff up at WM for under $5. I've never used it before, but seems to serve its purpose.

And it looks like this on terminals

Notice how the can states "INCREASE STARTING POWER" compared to what? Old corroded terminals - I'm not sure. I noticed no negative affects so its not hurting anything. I would use it again.
