What is the newest Lube Control initial and maintenance dosage? I can't find my instructions that came with mine and the few things that I remember seem different than some of the dosages that I've seen mentioned lately.

That's not for synthetic though. And I think Molakule and Terry recommended lower in all cases. I believe they said 6oz initial for non syn and 3oz initial for syn? Quick search should reveal it. I do know it was defninitely NOT 10oz in a 5qt sump.

Terry told me to use 2 oz LC per qt. I'm still afraid if I put in 12 oz in my 6qt sump it will be over filled. I have been using 6oz every 1,000-1,200 miles and it is still high on the dip stick. My 1st UOA will be here soon using the LC.

You may be confusing this with the BREW which is about 6 oz of #132 and 2 oz of LC. In one case terry did recommned to me 6-8 oz of LC so the psot above may not be far off.

Depending on application and oil analysis results 2 ounces per qt initial fill then 1 to 3 ounces each 1000 miles based on cleanliness and touch test to maintain anti oxidation control.

WTD you are good to go using these values in your specific situation. Thought I emailed you that but i could be losing my mind !

We are seeing excellent results at this treat rate with ANY base source oil. LC can depolymerise oil but not at the rate mentioned above.

The brew mentioned was using LC as a miscibility agent and not so much for long term anti oxidation control.

Chris and others leave a little room for the LC top ups and initial load, it takes the place of 12 ounces of oil in you situation, Chris.

Ley me get this straight...you're putting 6-8-OZ in every 1200 miles??? You should put 6-12 OZ in at the oil change...and then 1-2 OZ every 1200 miles...big difference

I'm sorry guys! I had to read my maintenance log to see exactly what I put in the oil, it was Alpo(dog food from other thread

). I was wrong I added 3oz LC in 1,200 miles not the 6 I said before.

Is anyone using the Mola/Terry Brew of 6oz#132 & 2oz LC + 7oz LC treatment on 5 qts of oil? Is this even *recomended*/necessary? Thanks.

Yes, except for the 7 oz of LC. I have the brew in 5 engines now and add 8 ounces (6 of 132 and 2 of LC at oil change) and then 1 oz of LC about every 1000 miles if the level drops down to permit it. It does seem to work but only one UOA so far and that was adding it half way through the change. I have an UOA at Blackstone now where the brew was in since the oil change so it will be interesting to see the results. Both are 3000 mile OCI (short intervals) due to some possible wear issues but they should be comparable to see if this has an effect as nothing was changed in the two samples except that one had it half way through the other from from the change.
