Rich,

I think the Schaefer's oil is well formulated to give you extended drains. Do a search in the UOA section and you will see many engines where Schaeffer's oils were used above 5K+. And the 3 ounce maintenance dose of Auto-Rx is a plus to maintain the cleanliness.
I recommend that you do a UOA and find out how your engine is doing now, and plan your extended miles based on UOA's. Schaeffer oil is green in color (GC) and made in America.

RichR, the last I heard Lube control and Auto-RX cannot be mixed. I have used both (plus Fuel Power in my fuel). But I never used Lube Control and Auto-RX at the same time in my engine.

I had a real good UOA using Schaeffer's oil and Lube Control (with Fuel Power used in the fuel).

I really believe in Auto-RX. As far as I can determine it worked in my previous car-it seemed to stop a seal leak.

I guess you could say that these two products are in competition with each other. You can clean an engine using an engine flush of Lube Control but if an engine was really dirty (like one of the sludge prone engines in a few cars, vans, and SUVs) that might not be a good idea. Auto-RX cleans gradually.

But to keep an engine clean maybe either Auto-RX or Lube Control would be equally effective.

Anybody else have some ideas on all of this?
