LSJR Does the oil filter go into bypass during cold starts?

Engine was room temp and the oil was warming the whole time the filter and oil were being installed. Wouldn't float when I tested aircraft.
Yes, ideally the engine would be filled with oil and placed in a deep freezer overnight to get it all to -30C to replicate a super cold start. Would it show anything different? (asking, I have no idea...it seems it would still show the filter wasn't going into bypass). This showed that you don't get filter bypass on cold start (in temps that likely represent a large chunk of the viewers) like many out there think b/c the oil is thicker. Just a debunk type video to me with some data that support it. Am I missing something?

Again, to test what was being tested - he didn’t need to migrate to his buddies shop out west again. A VFD controlled electric pump skid - placed in the cold - would give precise data points …
An ICE is heating everything immediately …

So folks want a bench test vs. a "real world" test that actually shows you what your car will likely do vs. theory?
