I was watching the Louisville/Duke college basketball game earlier. What an horrible leg injury that Kevin Ware of Louisville suffered. It was just about indentical to Joe Theismann's (Redskins QB and ESPN football analyst) situation in the mid-80s after he was tackled by Lawrence Taylor (the original "LT"). CBS showed one replay of Ware's incident and never played it again as it was too graphic.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin Ware and hopefully he will be ok. One positive though, Louisville refocused themselves to win in Ware's honor and went on a tear to beat Duke 85-63. Ware is from Atlanta, where the Final Four is being held, so I think that's motivating the Louisville team to win it all.

He'll play again. He's being treated at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. If they can save the lives of the drivers who are injured at the Speedway at 200 miles an hour, they can fix a broken leg.

I couldn't believe they showed a second replay. The first replay, from the direction of the opposite baseline, made it very clear what happened. Then they showed another, from the opposite sideline, ouch.
