Lost items—Do you like to see them found

Yeah my wallet never came back and I’ve returned 3 wallets in my life.

I did have a kid one time from down the road bring a package that was wrongly delivered to his house so there is that

My wife is always losing stuff she even left her wallet in the produce section. It was full of lettuce

I twice lost a US Passport (this is a big no-no as it's a privilege not a birth right technically; once was in an Alamo rental car and the other on the sidewalk in Montreal). Both times they came back. With the rental car in about 1 1/2 years. With the sidewalk in 3 days got a phone call from the US Consulate in Montreal. Here's where I learned it's a strike to get a replacement. The woman said the one I'm holding says it's a replacement for a lost passport--if you lose too many, DOS will not reissue. Now I seem to be able to renew online and I never pay extra and they never get lost, even took my own pic with an iPhone app. But my son has to go in person to the USPS every time (kids do for verification).

My latest sample to Blackstone. Looks lost. I emailed the postal service and a lovely lady called me and said because Blackstone gets hundreds of these daily it might be gone forever.
So today I get on my daily USPS Informed Delivery that I have a package arriving today from Ft Wayne IN. First thought is USPS is sending my mangled package back. On a hunch I log into Blackstone and lo and behold my sample is in testing and the package is new sample bottles.

I ate a McDonald's breakfast in the dining room.
A nice, fat fold of money was waiting on the floor, near where I wanted to sit.

I picked it up, covered it with a napkin and set it on the table.
Before I finished, a young gal came in casting her eyes about the floor frantically.

I held my hand above the napkin, pointing down with my index finger.
She saw my hand, peeled away the napkin and quietly mouthed the words, "thank you".

Given she was so young, I felt obligated to impart some kind of wisdom.
I said, "Be more careful", in a friendly tone.

I am strong believer in "what goes around comes around". I try to help others where I can or share knowledge, advice or items where appropriate. I am not looking for payback, but I will gladly accept good Karma if it comes back to me.

I saw a video the other day of a Tesla getting keyed by some "Karen". Her actions were caught on the Tesla cameras. I sure hope she got her due for the inexcusable abuse of someone else' property.
My dad worked for a telecom back in the late 80s and one of the directors apparently liked parking his Porsche in two parking spaces. Someone keyed it which resulted in them no longer taking up two parking spaces. I did have my cellphone fall out of my pocket on a run in the neighborhood across the road from where I live. It fell out in front of a house . I ended up getting a new phone as I figured it was permanently lost. The guy called my dad on it and asked who it belonged to. I got my old phone back and brought the guy ribs as a thank you.
