I'll say. When I asked an *** 't mgr about stocking more Chevron Supreme

The customer service desk is no help for the automotive section. They seem to operate autonomously. Real management seems inaccessable too (if you want to climb above the auto guy).

If the shelf tag is still there for a missing oil/filter, make sure the empty hole is evident. Other oil/filters sometimes tumble in and the "missing" is not noticed.

Walmart's inventory is very scanner data based (and noone seems to override it) as noticed in a 6-pack-soda-sold-as-one-can fiasco. Perhaps someone is "embezzling"...?

Could also be that there is better profit margin on the Frams so they'll devote more shelf space to them, or even carry them exclusively since most people don't care. That's just a guess.

You have to remember volume is everything on stocking and pricing. Walmart will have almost any number you need in Fram, and those lucky enough to be using a high volume number will get a great deal on an ST. You can get a good selection of Purolators or STP or even many OEM numbers too at many auto stores for about what Walmart charges for a Fram.
