Trading my '22 Forester. Hoping to do an even trade. Probably optimistic but. I traded a '19 Crosstrek (which was striped down with no eyesight etc. I only paid out 10K$ and the age was 3 years and the '22 was loaded. I am not fussy on the color (except I won't take Black). I want automatic.

The BRZ has the solid FA24 with no turbo and and produces 226 HP. It should be quicker than my '18 Forester with 250 HP. My '22 Forester has 37K miles and is in almost mint condition. We'll see

I’m in analysis paralysis btwn a GR86 and a GTI and am also only considering automatic transmission. They both have many positives but I’m shading towards the GTi as it is way more practical and just as much fun.

As long as you don’t corner hard, you will be fine. If you do, save money for new engine.

I've heard the new gti are very unreliable

This guy speaks of some behind the door crap that went on at a Subaru dealer he once worked at. I'm not saying don't buy a Subaru because of it. It can arm you with needed info if you ever need engine work done. He has another video on the oil pan RTV somewhere.
Basically some dealer techs do a worse job correcting the Subaru factory defect and make things worse on the"fix".

It’s kinda unique in how it feels. It’s got that boxer 4 grunt which is playful and a little truck-like off the line, and a little rowdy at speed, and does not disappoint when thrown around. I wish the interiors were more upscale. The one I’ve been in was entirely wrapped in black plastic from north to south and east to west, kind of like driving a rubber glove.
