I am considering a trailer hitch for the Prius so that I can install a bike rack.

However, I cannot stand the appearance of a trailer hitch as it feels out of place on a Prius, so I am looking for a completely hidden trailer hitch. So far, the best option I have found is the Torklift Central Eco-Hitch Stealth for $250. This is a custom-built trailer hitch that is designed to be "hidden" out of view.

Does anyone know of any other hitches I should consider? I saw a picture of the "Hidden Hitch" brand, but it is still too obvious. The drawtie one is even worse.

Thanks.

Actually, I take back what I said about the Draw-tite one. Upon taking a closer look, it appears to be the same as the Hidden Hitch one.

The Torklift is as good as you will get. You want a completely hidden hitch? How would you expect to hook up to it?

Ideally I would prefer something like this, but unfortunately it is not possible on the Prius:

With that said, the $250 for the Torklift hitch is more than double with the Curt hitch costs for the Prius. I might just have to buy one and only install it when I need to use it.

You should always buy the vehicle to match the hitch, rather than a hitch to match the vehicle. You need a 3/4 ton pickup as a minimum to mount a good hitch on. Accept nothing less than a class IV.
