Showed up at my door yesterday. Can't wait to get started on the scratches and swirls.

I hear ya...my sister's in Cumming and her grass was dead long before summer was over. She hasn't hand washed her cars in forever. But I did notice while I was there at Christmas that the restrictions have had little effect on the coin-op car washes..so we cleaned up her TSX there. :-)

Enjoy your new toy.

Why not use a low water wash like QEW or ONR, then proceed to detail? It would suck having a new toy to play with and leaving it on the shelf.

be sure that you only use that cuting pad for removal of wax with a bonnet over it. If you don't believe me check out autopia.org/forum

I've gone by the coin-ops and it'll leave a film. I guess the filters are loaded after seeing guys bring in there clay covered trucks and proceed to power wash them.

I've considered trying those products. Need to read up on them more over at Autopia.

XMT #1 is a finishing polish and has very little cut. I suggest you use it with the orange pad if you want to see any results on moderate to heavy swirls and multiple passes may be needed. You may need something with more cut depending on your paint's condition.

Nice starter pack, enjoy it.

Yeah...you're the second person to tell me that. I probably was a little over-cautious, but I decided to err on the side of safety. I'm not heavily or deeply swirled or scratched but I would like to achieve that 'perfect surface' or something close to it. If I don't see satisfactory improvement I'll go pick up something with a little more bite. Not sure at this point if I'll order the #2 XMT or just pick up a Meguiars product.
