Little help with hazards and turn signals

Working on the daughter jalopy, err F150. Its a 2007 XL 4.2 2wd. Recently two problems developed at the same time so I'm thinking it must be related but can't figure out how.

1. Shift interlock stopped working. Major problem since it appears to be a discontinued part (column shift). At least the bypass is easy if not a bit ghetto.

2. At the same time the hazards and turn signals working. Hazards work with key off but turns don't and neither work when on.

I'm not seeing any obviously shared wiring but maybe I am missing something. Any suggestions?

Not a ton of help but I serviced an '08 that lost only its LF signal. Still worked w hazards, so not a bulb.

It was indeed the turn signal switch aka MFS aka whatever-you-wanna-call-it

If you go this route -- and I'm not saying you should or should not -- there are plenty of vids on how to cheat it out and leave the steering wheel in place. Service data says pull the wheel which is ridiculous.

As for the shift interlock, I have no idea unless they all share a fuse. The interlock needs power, too (obviously)

The interlock's just a solenoid, no?

Find the trigger wire and you should be able to manually make it click. I'm assuming it's switched power but maybe it's switched ground.

If the solenoid is capable of working when commanded, obviously it didn't fail and the problem is elsewhere.

Power goes through the brake pedal to all that stuff. I'd start by checking all rear lights function 100%. Ford even used to have a truck where the CHMSL had to be incandescent, not LED, so the current drain would be correct.
