Good day, i saw this oil at my local auto parts store. Any reviews on this oil? what would be an appropriate OCI.

Good oil, although its probably pretty expensive.Id imagine it can go 5-7k with no issues, probably more. No real reason to use it over a name brand synthetic though, especially for normal 5-7k interval.

Does this stuff truly contain molybdenum disulphide?

Looking at that UOA, I'd say this is organic oil soluble moly. If the oil is being advertised as A3/B4, then I would expect organic moly would be there; not MoS2.

It's without VW MB approvals ....
I would be hesitant with a 10K OCI, yes..possibly up to 7500 mies.
.. am pushing Quartz 7000 Energy 10W40 SL VW 501.01/505.00 MB229.1 towards 8750 miles with 500 ppm sulphur gasoline fuel.
Well, you may be right afterall .

Well i will be moving to a 10w40 grade oil, and the variety is limited in my country for some reason. Other than RP and Amsoil, this is the only other brand that im getting :-(
And im not going back to Royal Purple

PDS says this A3B4 contains solid lubricants in MoS2.

There was a great deal of moly deposited on the bottom of the 5L jug I bought. So much so that when I made a blend for my next oil change and shook the oil in this jug the moly on the next UOA jumped to about 400. I will track down the following UOA and post here to confirm.

This UOA was oil blended and shaken in the LiquiMoly 10w40 MOS2 bottle to try and get some of the moly off the bottom and into suspension again. Note the huge jump in moly compared to the previous UOA. Oil used for the blend was 2 quarts Napa Synthetic 0w20 2 quarts Valvoline 10w40 MaxLife and 1 quart Valvoline 10w40 DuraBlend.

It's VW 505 00 and MB-Sheet 229.1 approved. That said, no VW or MB Sheet approvals does not mean you can't do extended drain intervals. Many GM products are running 10,000 miles on Dexos1 oils through the OLM, drain intervals are application specific.

To the OP: Can you get Liqui Moly Synthoil 5W-40?

and they're not alone:

ELF Molygraphite contains both colloïdal graphite and MOS2,
ELF Grapholia contains colloïdal graphite,
Marly Black gold contains colloïdal graphite,
Arcographite used to....

I'm sure there are others aswell.

Well , LM webpage says otherwise.

Guess I confused it with Super Leichtlauf 10W-40, which does. Regardless, drain intervals are application specific.
