Would you run Castrol and only if signs of stuck rings started appearing then switch to Valvoline Restore and Protect?

Daughter’s 2019 Santa Fe with 2.4 NA GDI. ~90k miles. We’ve had it for last 20k with 5k oil change interval with regular Castrol EDGE, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, Pennzoil Platinum. Was my moms before that since new with 7,500k oil change interval at dealer. Burns no oil currently.

Loaded up on the Castrol EDGE Euro 5w-30 K bonanza. After much gnashing of teeth, I’ve been leaning to running Valvoline Restore and Protect instead after current fill of Mobil 1 Advanced Clean but still keep going back and forth.

Question is, would you run the Castrol and only if signs of stuck rings started appearing then switch to Valvoline Restore and Protect?

I’m looking to get minimum another 3 years/~30k miles to get my daughter through college. Ideally I think she’s smart enough to run it much longer if it holds up, so I’d like to do everything I can to make that possible.

With the approvals the Castrol EDGE Euro K carries, I’d think it would run fairly clean but curious to what my fellow oil nerds think. TIA for any advice!!

Are you doing oil changes yourself?
The reason I'm asking is I got same engine in Sportage and I saw sludge floaters in drained oil when tried 5k miles OCIs, the reason I dropped OCIs to 4k miles.
IMHO, if the car isn't losing oil then just keep doing what you did before. Edge Euro should work very well.
I also think that sometimes running extra cleaning on an engine with miles on it may cause leaks.

No, I only change the oil in my truck. I have my local mechanic do her’s and my wife’s along with tire rotation each OCI. I provide the oil/filter

Thanks for your input

If it were me I’d try the VRP if you want to keep it awhile. I’ve just started using it in our 2010 Tiguan owned since new that never really consumed any oil.
