Light white residue on oil cap after coolant flush?

I just flushed my coolant early morning today. Drove the car wound the block after I flushed the coolant just to see how the car ran.

It's been 2 and 40 min since I drove the car. I took a look at the oil cap out of curiosity and saw this light white residue.

Not sure if it's just condensation or is it something I should worry about?

Clean it off and take a long free way trip and look at the cap again.

It's only got 72k miles on it. Oil changes every 6 months/ 5k miles.

I think it's condensation.

What could I have done by just flushing out the coolant to cause all this white stuff?

Are you blowing white smoke out the tailpipe?

Could be normal this time of year with short trips. Noticed this last year with the Matrix but it looked much worse than your pic. Traded it in but not because of this. Checked it in the summer and it went away.

Nope, no white smoke. I used distilled water.

I called up my BMW mechanic and he told me it's normal since engine oil takes longer to warm up compared to coolant, you'll see coolant rise on the oil cap. I don't see coolant in the oil it's self so. He told me to drive the car hard on my way back from the city.

I just got home and did what he said. Took a look at the oil cap and no more white stuff.

But, I'll double-check the oil cap after letting the car sit for a bit.
