Hello everyone and gonna be straight upfront and very honest. I do enjoy this site very much so and I have learned a ton, and have some very strong opinions for a lot of the folks I have talked to; and gotten info from. Just a little stressed out lately with work and some family problems. My real father is kinda backwards, stubborn and does not like change, and does not listen to anybody very well. He may get layed off from his natural gas drilling company he drives tractor trailer for. I dont have many friends in the pittsburgh area even though I have been here since late spring 06'. Also, I am getting ready to tackle the timing belt/water pump and do a cooling flush on the 03' civic sometime early summer/mid summer at my brothers house. I am going to be a uncle so thats a great thought.

Sorry for the rant and if I havent been very active lately. My work is going good; we just have a real lazy worker(guy that pulls plastic and preps/checks in new cars etc) that does not pull his weight. I exploded on him when he ran a car out of gas(I work at a rental car company so new cars) and he lied to my boss and I about it. The car could have caught fire or somethin worse. That and two oil change retards dont do a thing(they are on night turn or 2-11p.m.) and me and the other 2 mechanics are about at the end of our ropes with them.

Thanks for the rant..hope it helped. One thing about Pittsburgh is that its a dreary place. Hopefully the weather there will brighten up. Put you in a better mood.

I have relatives in the Export/Murrysville area.

Thanks guys for the replies, and honestly also I had a drinking problem. Its been over 2 yrs since I havent had a drink of any sort, so the work thing and my dad kinda had me on one heck of a temptation. Thanks for being here or there guys; have some great folks to talk to. Plan to use a week in mid summer or around labor day to visit/see the real father in Punxsutawney. I worry about him a lot. I am a penguins fan, so got that to look forward to; as we are the 3 time STANLEY CUP champs. What a horrible time to go thru a 4 game losing streak after the fall season/mid season with a 12 game win streak. I guess its the highest of highs and lowest of lows.

What does your wife say about how you are feeling ?

Just remember that you will not be in this situation for the rest of your life, things will get better.

It's life. You need to buck up and deal with it. Life always throws curve balls at you, especially when you least expect it and think you can't handle it. You need to be mentally ready to deal with all sorts of unexpected twists and turns. If you really embrace the challenge of taking charge of the unexpected circumstances when they arise you'll be much happier and a stronger person for it.

Accept the things you can't change, and work hard to improve and change the things that you can. And as the old saying goes, hope for the wisdom to know the difference.

Just to CYA, start documenting all the problems those slackers cause or what they sluff off on the day shift.

Just a spiral note book with dates and an explanation of what happened or didn't happen.

You may never need that information but just writing it down helps reduce the stress a bit.

Thanks for the replies guys, and yeah dwendt44, the boss documents everything they are told to do and what all they dont do. Think they both can only be wrote up one more time, then FIRED! Yeah, still searching for a wonderful woman, and there is a nice waitress at the local EAT N' PARK near me who used to be a great parts person at the NAPA in Hopewell near me.

thanks guys,

adam

I too live in a dreary place, and it doesn't help that the February sky makes it look like I'm living inside a ping-pong ball. The weather keeps me indoors when I know I have all this work waiting for me outside on my house and my elderly mother's house (and the cars) that I can't touch at this point.

Thankfully I work with very competent people. Though at work we bellyache at certain things that bug us, we know that it's not serious.

Look forward to the things that make you happy.

Thanks for the reply Kestas, and you have the DETROIT RED WINGS who have more stanley cups than the PITTSBURGH PENGUINS have! You just have a [censored] football team, but great college teams in MICHIGAN WOLVERINES and MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS. Was at the RITE AID getting some Epsom Salts and saw a cutie that has a 98 Toyota station wagon, with a 4 cyl, and she's a gear head. Planning a 1st date mid week.

thanks for the help and replies guys,

adam
